Intermittent Lost or Dropped Wi-Fi connection

If a Laptop loses its wireless connection periodically, ensure the wireless settings are set to "Automatic" and not "Manual" by performing the following procedure. This mmay or may not resolve your issue.
- Open Network and Sharing Center. You can do this by right-clicking on the network connection icon (wireless or wired) near the clock in the taskbar.
- In the left-hand pane, locate and click on "Manage wireless networks". If you are not connected to any wireless networks or have not been, there may be nothing listed.
- Locate the Wireless Network in question and double-click on the icon to access the Wireless Network Properties.
- Place a check mark in the box for "Connect automatically when this network is in range".
- If necessary, remove the check mark in the box for "Connect to a more preferred network if available".
- Click OK to save the settings and close the Network Properties dialogue box.
- Reboot the computer to confirm the wireless connection remains intact.
